Our XPS-2M Rainfall and Soil Moisture Station is based on the same proven platform as our Origo.ag weather stations, with the same build quality, service model and support.
It is designed for growers who need enough local stations to understand rainfall and soil moisture variation across their operation, without installing a full weather station at every site.
The unit is supplied as a complete 2-metre station, ready for installation. Rainfall is measured at 1.5 metres to reduce dust, splash and disturbance from ground cover or nearby vegetation.
An 80 cm soil moisture probe is included as standard. Other probe lengths, such as 120 cm, can also be provided where deeper soil profiling is required.
The station operates on the national mobile IoT network, which covers most regional broadacre farming areas in Australia, with only limited exceptions.
The annual service agreement includes the Origo.ag XDASH Dashboard, API access, software, data storage, device support and IoT SIM data.
